This was a decent property on the outskirts of Yonkers, an easy 15 minute drive from family in Riverdale but not particularly near anything else (including downtown Yonkers). The rooms were a bit dated, and ours had almost no storage, but our king bedroom was amply sized and clean, with a good simple set up for working in place (though WiFi was spotty). The typical Hampton Inn breakfast wasn’t quite up to the usual quality—eg no fruit salad, weak coffee, mushy potatoes—and closed VERY promptly at 10 AM. The breakfast area could use more seating. Coffee urn at front desk probably needs to be replaced, as it didn’t stay very hot. In sum, a number of niggling things that kept my rating a little low, but an adequate property.

This is a good, solid little hotel. Nothing fancy here, just clean, safe, well-maintained, and friendly. It's inexpensive so I was not expecting much but I actually really enjoyed my stay here and would stay again. Staff members always had a smile for me. Nice, job, people.

As s senior citizen I prefer a chain hotel. I can generally count on the things I need--elevators, a free convenient breakfast (even if microwave-bagg quality), wi-fi. Normally I rate a place 4 out of 5 if it lives up to expectations. So this location gets a 5, and well deserved. The greatest pleasure for me is the design and size of the room. It's spacious. Thee's a large desk extendingfrom the TV, and a full sofa, so my wife and I could both set up our computers and browse away while watching our usual shows. King bed has comfy pillows. The bathroom is generous, with the shower and look behind a regular door and the sink area behind a barn door, so that I don't need to light-pollute the room when using the facilities after bedtime. The breakfast bar is of the qualiity you'd expect--but they do rotate the offerings from scrambled eggs to mini cheese omelets to sausage gravy and biscuits. The building and grounds are very well maintained, and past experience has proven that they are prompt to fix any issues. The management and staff here certainly wants to raise the bar for the Hampton tade mark.

Made an on-line reservation by mistake for a reservation on the same day. Within 10 minutes called the hotel and they refused to cancel the reservation. Extremely Rude and totally unprofessional staff. Hung up twice when I tried to call back. Charge CC over $300 for cancelation reporting we did a non-show. This is completely false as we called and tried to cancel with both the hotel and on-line 800 number.

Excellent one night stay made by front desk service

Excellent large quiet room and full breakfast buffet but the stay was made at check in by Travis Miller at the front desk, who welcomed my wife and I and made us feel at ease immediately. Travis recognized my HHonors membership and offered us services appropriate with our level of membership., all in a professional and courteous fashion. He also provided recommendations regarding dinner which we took and had an excellent dinner close to the hotel. Should we need to visit the area again, we'll definitely stay at this Hampton and look for Travis at the front desk!
